A Cann Grant from the County of Lake along with an investment from Lake County Children's Council and funds from First 5 Lake have made the creation of this 2021-22 local magazine a reality. First 5 Lake has a Title IV-E grant through a partnership with Lake County Child Welfare Services and Chabot-Las Positas Community College District to provide trainings online and in our community to foster parents and those working with children in dependent care and those who are at-risk. We also partner with Lake Family Resource Center to provide evidence-based Stewards of Children trainings on the prevention of child sexual abuse in-person to organizations and groups who request it.
First 5 Lake County worked with local birth-to-5 service providers to create both a resource guide and an online eligibility wizard for families. The Eligibility Wizard was co-funded by a grant with Hope Rising Lake County and will launch in summer of 2021.
